509 Community Meetings, pioneered by Commissioner Gwen Myers, serve as a catalyst to address concerns of local community members. Topics of importance include: gun violence prevention and intervention, local high schools issuing certificates of completion in lieu of diplomas, voter education/registration, and election 2024 candidate education.
